About Kennel Anthems

kennel logotypeThe name of the kennel is what I want to give my future puppies: A personal anthem, a welcome to the world and a wish for a happy life.
I have had the name Anthems as a kennel prefix since October 2006.

Our first litter was born on October 2008.
We call them “The A litter” and they are three males (two is papillon and one phalène). After them I wanted to continue with breeding, in smal scale.

Our second litter was born one year later in November, also them three males but of the breed kleinspitz. We call them “Our Kleinspitz litter“. All of them moved to Norway.

Breeding objectives

Our breeding occurs in our home environment, and I breed the papillon and kleinspitz breeds. My focus is on physical health and I only breed on parent dogs who showing these characteristics.
The parents have controlled (by veterinary) eyes and knee joints before they are mated.
Before sale the puppies is registered with SKK (Swedish Kennel Club), they are id marked (with chip), vaccinated and dewormed.
The kleinspitz puppies has also got their eyes checked.

The Dogs in the kennel

Kennel AnthemsToday they are six dogs in the kennel.
The papillon Elven, born 2003 is our mascot. She is not in breeding due to an illness that made us have to neuter her the summer os 2006. Still, she is our sweetheart and the dog with the biggest desire to work.
We also have River, our main breeding bitch. She is also my obedience buddy. She is born 2006 and is the mom of our first litter ever. Hopefully we are ready to compete soon.

And then we have the small boy, Theo. He is Rivers litterbrother and moved to us, from his former owner, when he was nine months old. He is not a dog that likes mindtraining so he lives with my father in law Kjell, where he is a snuggle dog… But, Theo, is still in breeding trough our kennel.
Adde, is from our first litter also lives with Kjell and Theo.
And he will also still be in breeding trough our kennel, if he is free from PRA and patella. He is a phalène, and a little charmer!

The last smal breed dog in the house is a kleinspitz. Her name is Gina and she was a dream come true when se moved to us in June 2008.
Gina is mostly Andreas dog…

In the beginning of 2010 a large breed moved to us. Mana is a rough collie and she will be my working dog.
She will not be in breeding…
